PDAnet (FoxFi) disconnects internet when call rings in...

I just upgraded to a LG g4 from a Droid Bionic. I ran PDAnet on the old Bionic and I could answer an incoming phone call without disconnecting the internet.

PDAnet runs great on the LG, (and I love this phone) but when a call rings in (or out) the WiFi goes away until the phone call ends.

Any ideas?

I use the stock hotspot app with my unlimited unthrottled 4GLTE hotspot plan and it works great even during calls. Perhaps try using the stock hotspot app to see if it works

Do you have advanced calling on? If you're on Verizon?

I use it on mine (Verizon) and use it a lot. I have not noticed it doing this on my phone. Normally if I take a call I will pause or stop whatever I'm using it for to take the call but never notice it going out. For ex: on my tablet the WiFi never disconnects. And I don't have to restart it on the phone.

When I try and run WiFi from the Verizon app, I get a popup that says I need to subscribe to a thirty dollar a month add on.
I can use the internet from the phone, but voice calls suspends the WiFi.

Yeah if you have unlimited you have to pay for WiFi. I will try to pay closer attention and make sure.

So do you have to restart it on your phone after the call? Or does it do it by itself?

No, I don't have to restart PDAnet, and the internet resumes at the end of the call. It annoys my wife when I get a phone call as her internet goes away....

We're RVing and using the G4 and PDAnet for a WiFi hotspot.

Add Advanced Calling to your account and also turn it on via your phone -- It costs $0 a month.
