pdf download

My xoom is showing the download arrow icon on the bottom of the screen for the past few days. the pdf downloaded successfully from an email. I have deleted the pdf itself as well as the email in hopes of stopping the device from attempting to downtoad continuously. I have turned the device on and off....still the arrow is at the bottom showing a download in process. I think this is affecting the device...I couldn't turn it on tonight. Any ideas?

Click on the notification, it should bring up recent downloads, check the check box next to the items you want gone.

You might have to change the time option, there is today, yesterday, stuff like that.
