I purchased the Pebble Metal band for $20 at Best Buy when I got the 360 and love both the look and feel of it.

But..... Today I was going to pick up a Qi compatible charging mat (along with the Samsung cover for my S5). I realized that with the metal band, I probably wouldn't be able to charge the 360 on a wireless charging mat. Anyone have any suggestions to a metal band that will allow me to use a wireless charger (besides the stock Moto charger).

It is amazing how I am going through the exact same thing as you, down to buying them at Best Buy. I just got a Qi charger for my s5 and placing the 360 on it will not charge the watch because the back isn't flat against the chager. If I would have kept the provided band on it, then I wouldn't have this problem, but it doesn't look near as good.

What I do is set the Qi charger on something else (like my wallet) and then wrap the watch around both items. That works for me.

Sounds feasible, but I think if rather look into getting a metal band that opens up entirely so I can properly lay the watch on my mat. There's gotta be something out there that will work.

For me it's not an issue most of the time because the battery always lasts my full day. The only exception is when I'm debugging the app I'm developing via Bluetooth. It eats the battery in that mode. So when developing I sometimes have to use my Qi charging mat downstairs. It works fine using the method I described.

Okay, was on that verge of buying the official moto 360 charger, but I saw a digiyes charger that I eyeballed as a possible qi charger that will work. At the time, it was only 9+, so I figured worse case was that I would be able to use as additional charger for my phone.

So, I got it today (prime shipping) and got awesome results :

It serves the purpose well, if you clamp the watch closed. With my metal band, it doesn't even sit completely flush on the charger, but the charger still produces a charge. Go get one, while you can. Only 6 left of the white at $11 and the black a little more expensive.

Compared to the 40 that the oem charger costs, this is a steal. And it works perfectly for phones too.

Drexappeal beat me to it - this is exactly how I handle it at the office.

I also have a Metrans mwt03 with an Anker battery pack for on the go/travel charging. With the metal band, the Anker and metrans slide right between the watch and band.
