Pebble Time Steel

I'll seriously consider it. I have the original Pebble Steel, which is very nice. I was a bit ambivalent about the Pebble Time, but the Time Steel is what I was really hoping for!

I keep hearing "e-ink" in relation to any of the Pebbles, but it's a low power LCD, surely? When I power off my Pebble the display is blank. If it was e-ink, wouldn't Pebble program it to keep a Pebble logo (or similar) displayed? Like Kindle do with their e-ink display that shows an image when powered off.

You are technically correct. Pebble states the screen as a color "e-paper" display... Which is really kind of a generic term for a host of different technologies including the memory LCD tech that was originally used in the first pebble smartwatch.

"E-ink" is a specific proprietary type of screen tech and is not truly being licensed or used on the pebble time.
