People / contacts app??

Anyone know if its possible to remove images from the contacts app? I know i can remove an image one by one / replace the image etc but i mean actually removing them all together so that nothing but the contacts name is shown? I'am pretty sure i was able to do this on another device but can't remember what device i had. I don't see anything in settings either! Would of been nice to be able to remove them and just display names. Would makes things look a lot cleaner i think. Had this issue with samsung aswell and was unable to change it
