Hi,

Getting this message repeatedly and I can't clear it. It makes no difference if I choose to send an error report it just keeps coming up.

I've cleared the cache etc, I've reset the phone and it still does it in safe mode.

Help please!!

What accounts are syncing with the People app? Is it only your Google account, or are there other accounts as well? Also, which cache did you clear--the People app cache, or the system cache partition?

Thanks for your reply.

Google, whatsapp, Facebook and yahoo mail all synced. I've disabled all of them and it's still happening but only occasionally.

I don't think I've cleared the system cache partition, how do I do that?

Edit: Used that thing called Google. I'll report back if the issue is solved.

Just to be sure, this is how you cleared the cache? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-10672

When you say you disabled all of those accounts, do you mean you turned off the contact sync on all of them? If so, try going to Settings>Apps>All, select Contacts and Contact Storage (or People--not sure how it's listed on the M8), and Clear Cache/Clear Data. Then see if the problem persists.

Yeah that's how I did the clear partition.

Yeah all sync is turned off. When I clear cache and data in people (in apps) it sometimes helps briefly but the problem keeps returning.

Look through your system apps (in Settings>Apps>All), and tell me if you have a Contacts app and a People app. If you have both, the People app has historically been associated with Google+, not the main Contacts app.
