Quick question, what for you would be the perfect watch face?

I personally really love realistic looking watch faces. I'd like to make a watch face that would cater to exactly what people are looking for, so I'm open to any and all suggestions!

Wow, tough one! It's like asking what's the perfect flavor haha. For me it would be actually something that looks more futuristic, with a moderate degree of animations. Something that will awe people. Yeah, realistic-looking watchfaces are cool, but if I wanted a 'real' watch well, I wouldn't have bought a virtual one to begin with.

I would like realistic looking with notification counts (email and messaging separate if possible) that launch the respective apps when tapped. Also a very discreet battery meter. I have no idea if this is even possible since I don't own a gear 2 though. :)

I like the classic look. There's a whit Seiko face on Mr time that's perfect, to me, but I've found Mr time to be kind of "sub par" for.performance/resolution. Sticking to stock for now.

I'm still trying to find the one in the pre-release ads where the next appointment is displayed on the bottom of a traditional watch face in a circular pattern.

Completely agree. Love realistic watch faces. Always looking for faces that have a black background with silver/white hands. Must have date and that's it. Everything else can be accessed by turning the ring. The stock "real face" is too grey and bright.

One I haven't seen is a hiking watchface. I'd like one that not only shows my steps but my altitude, miles walked (for the 3g version) and average pace. Just an idea.

Is there any watchface that looks like the classic moto 360 face?? I would like to see that on the s2

If anyone finds a moto 360 face look alike ( the black one with minimal look, red hand) please let me know

I'm surprised, too. I guess it has to do with the fact that nobody's selling those other company's watch faces or logos. The app is just making it possible for you to "steal" it yourself. I mean, Photoshop makes it possible to duplicate any number of things.

Where do you find these designer watch faces on the app store?

Not in the app store. People who are making them themselves find images of them online, at retailers or ebay, etc. They then have to resize the images, make watch hands, etc., and create the image which is imported into Mr. Time Maker, which will then put it on the watch. For me, it hasn't been an easy process and I have yet to successfully get a self-made face onto the watch. But hey, it is free to play with.

The perfect watch face is the free "watcher" watch face. It isn't available for the s2 yet, but I emailed the developer and he said it should be by December.

I'm having trouble finding a good digital face that also shows the date, steps, and weather. I also want something that shows the date on the ambient screen.

I am trying to find the simple little holly leaf watch hands that is now being shown on the samsung home page. Any suggestions?

I like simple and functional. I want to be able to see the time at a glance without having to figure out what Roman numeral is what, without having to squint because the numbers are so small or hard to read because they're in some crazy font, or there are so many lines and circles and decorations that you can't see the time. I don't like clutter when it comes to my watch face.

I must be in the minority because it seems many watch face makers are looking to make faces that are as gaudy as gaudy can be, as cluttered as cluttered can be, the harder it is to read the better it is, the wild colors drive me insane. I don't want to look like I'm wearing my kids watch or my husband's watch. I've seen a lot of faces that to me are quite masculine.

I like time, date and would be great if one could choose which 2 or 3 apps they want on their watch rather than having to go with whatever the watch face maker feels should be the default.

Go into the Gear App on your phone, choose "watch faces", scroll down to "add template", pick one of the styles you like (1 like the Digital), then hit "stylize", you can choose an existing background or one from your pictures file, you can change fonts and depending in the style you can add a complication app. This can get you close to what you are asking for.
