Performance Issue Warning

[AC Question]

At least 3 times a day I get a message that com.google.android.gms is causing performance issues that could drain my battery or cause other apps to run slowly. I have a choice to cancel or close app. Does anyone know why I keep getting this message? Is there a fix to make this stop happening? Should I be concerned about it?

Thank you for the welcome. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7. I don't think I have an app like that on my phone. I had a cleaner, but it got annoying because it seemed to drain my battery, so I uninstalled.

Thanks for registering. It's possible that warning comes from the Device Maintenance app.

That Google gms drain could refer to sync/backup processes running in the background, most like through Google Play Services. You could check your sync settings and see if there's something you can change.
