Personal notification sound for Individual conversations

How can I make it keep the sound I have assigned? When I delete the conversation the sound reverts to the default sound

What application are you using for your SMS/MMS?

You need to keep the conversation to keep the settings for that conversation. Once you've deleted the conversation you lose the "for this conversation".
