Personal ringtone issue?

So if I pick a stock ringtone, when the phone rings, the normal behavior is the ringtone will ring twice then pause and then ring twice again and pause, and so on and so on. With my personalized ringtone file, it rings nonstop without pausing and it's quite annoying. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I doubt it is an Android issue, it worked just fine with the same ringtone on my Nexus 4, running Lollipop.

Could it be the ringtone is too long?

Have you tried pasting in a second or so of blank sound at the end of your personal ringtone? You'll get a pause after the sound that way...

Have you tried pasting in a second or so of blank sound at the end of your personal ringtone? You'll get a pause after the sound that way...

Not too sure how to go about that, I've shorten .wav files before but I'll check it out, thanks.
