Pesky battery-sucking setting in Chrome

I do like Chrome and I will continue to use it, but I could not understand why Chrome was showing up as using at least 25 percent of my battery. So, I went into the settings and I saw something (enable location) that I thought I would uncheck.

Under enable location it says, "allows sites to request access to your location."

Now that I have unchecked it, Chrome does not show up as a battery use. To find that setting, open Chrome, go to settings and then content settings.

I'm going to try this, even though my batter life has gotten much better lately, CHROME still shows up as like 37% of overall usage - even when I NEVER open it and never use it.

I don't see Chrome in my battery use list, but I changed the setting anyway... Thanks SkaterGirl

Exactly! Since changing that setting, I never see Chrome showing up as using battery.

Had this feature unchecked from the get go so never noticed odd battery usage. Same day I got tab I rooted and installed chrome. Use it all the time.

Pp.

You guys are discussing Chrome on the Rezound, I presume. I do not see any settings for location in Chrome 18.0.1025.166. I even went into Settings > Apps > Chrome ... nothing there either.

Where is the setting on your phones, please?

Thank you.
