Petition for MicroSD slot in Nexus devices

Sure, that's why the biggest selling Android phone has it. Many others still do as well but stay unimformed if you want.

Something that you need to consider. Biggest selling android that is released by an oem. They have control over the hardware. Nexus is released by Google so there won't be an sdcard as already explained by them. Good effort on the petition though but it does have a very slim chance if not none at all. If you must use an sdcard, go for an oem released unit so you can get it.

You don't need to petition, Google has people reading the boards, and they're aware of how you feel. nevertheless, they've made a business decision and you can live with it, or buy a different phone.

I have a GS3 and it is a great phone but i just love the MicroSD card option. A 32GB card is so cheap now. 64GB is getting to be a great price and adding that yourself is imo a great addition to the phone. Some say having one place for memory is better but i dont see why. Anything you click on no matter where it is stored is going to show up on the phone. If you have 2GB dedicated to apps, so what? It is there in the Apps section of your drive. I dont see how it is better to have just one. All they are doing is partitioning the drive/memory but it is still the same drive/memory.

In anycase, some here say it was explained. I saw it and i thought it was a weak explanation.

Stop crying and stick with your gs3 since something that just flat out won't happen you need sooooo much. The nexus isn't for everyone. You aren't one it was meant for, deal with it. Google won't change for you or me and they pay me for my knowledge, not you.

EVERY phone should have an sd card slot, period.

That cloud stuff is cool, but with data limits isn't reasonable.

Fcc should make these carriers offer an unlimited un throttled plan for devices with limited storage.

This is one issue where Google is taking a page out of the book of Apple.

Apple always had non removable batteries and no removable storage.

I still am getting the nexus 4, going to decide if I'll be keeping my galaxy s 3 when i get it.

I think any kind of ungrability and ability to quicly swap data is good thing for user,i think if Google thing a little bit harder they would solve there sd card problems,but i bet there demend for could users is stronger to do so

I think also it's more useful tablets then mobile phones which is closer to being a workstation

Freaking out? Im not freaking out. I made a post, gave my reason why i like MicroSD slots and wish the Nexus line had them. Or at least give us a choice to have a SD card or 32GB of memory.

I dont prefer to stream to save data which saves a few bucks. Pardon me for liking what i like. Always wanted to get a Nexus phone but they always lacked some things.This one has better specs, just wish it had more memory.

This is ridiculous to complain about. Obviously they had to save some money somehow and no matter what happened someone would find something to complain about. If u want an SD card slot then go spend the extra $400 and get a phone with one. Google has explained the SD card slot thing and why its not there.

Ryan, In my view is 100% correct. Everyone should calm down, we have to face it has no SD card and that is life.
To be honest, they can just be pushing a new form of technology, now it maybe seam a little silly but all big things can seam silly at the start. My nanna claims the computers in her day's was a joke, look at them now. Everything requires progress guys and we are getting a really good product for a really low price. Phones are for different people, if its not your thing there is one for you. Maybe we should just back off and leave it at that. If you guys want a real petition all buy LG & Google shares till you guys have enough power for above 50% of control of the company, then make your choices on their investments and business choices.

I will be very proud to make that thread. I found a it not overally but slightly annoying when sd cards wouldnt load, have to download apps to view etc.
