Phantom Facebook Event Notifications

I realize upfront that this may be a futile effort, but thought I'd give it a shot.

While most people's problems seem to be that they're NOT getting notifications, I'm continually getting a notification on my Evo for a new Facebook Event in my notification bar. When I try to go to it, though, it's very clear I have no new Events or invites or anything like that in my Facebook account.

It's driving me a bit nuts.

Any ideas why this might be happening or how to fix it?

I also have been having this issue. Its making me seriously consider removing the app, even though its very handy and well made. I have the Moto Droid.

I am also having this issue.. perhaps its a Facebook problem rather than an android one but either way I would seriously love for this to be sorted as its really annoying.. nexus 1 android 2.1
