I'm a little surprised, however, my S7 is slower to start apps than my mates iPhone 5s!

From lock screen, his camera starts quicker
Unlocked screen, Twitter and Facebook starts quicker

Why is that?

We are talking literally a millisecond, but why?

Thanks

Paul

Why... Is because apple hardware and software apps are usually more optimized.

Sent from my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 5

Could it be because the iPhone uses a different Cache for it's apps?

Could it be because the screen is so different that it has less to start?

The iPhone has only 720p resolution and is pushing a lot less pixels. That could be why you notice a slightly faster start up of apps. I bet if you run any performance test the S7 will win every time.
