Hey Guys,

As I mentioned before, I'm now due my upgrade and after the disappointment that was the iPhone 6 its time for me to make a change. I've been looking at the different handsets people advised in my previous thread and these are the few that stand out to me.

LG G3 - Samsung Note Edge - Samsung Galaxy S5 - Sony Xperia Z3 - Motorola Moto-X

My only problem is that I can't decide on which one will make the better handset for my first experience of Android and more importantly which one will still feel decent two years from now because what ever I choose I'm stuck with it for the duration of my contract....

So, if you were in my situation what would you choose and why? Would you pick something that I haven't listed or would you even consider the iPhone 6??

Looking forward to your replies :)

P.S. I am also planning on getting a smartwatch so take that in to consideration if you can please, thanks :)

I have had owned almost every version iPhone and almost every Android phone AT&T has. I think Apple has lost this race, I did not want to admit it for a long time. and when they say IOS has not changed they are right. besides some new looks its still nothing but an app drawer. YES it looks great and pretty, and YES it just works. bu there needs to be more at this point. I say get the Moto X. Is it your first Android phone?

That's exactly how I feel, after years of minor updates I expected the iPhone 6 and IOS 8 to be a chance for Apple to up its game but again just another revision with minor updates and I'm not willing to shell out that much £$€ for pretty much the same phone again and again.

Yeah this will be my first Android phone, I've had iPhones since they first launched....

If you want continued performance/speed, look VERY seriously at the Moto X. The HUGE positive for that device is that it's not skinned like the rest of them. As a result, you can get top-tier performance without a top-tier CPU. This means better battery life, faster OS updates (no need to update the skin also). All the neat features Motorola is bringing to the table in the Moto X line are updated in the Play Store, so you're also not waiting for a skin update to add features.

You can read about all the neat features in the reviews. The two that stand out for me with my X (first-gen) are touchless controls and active display. I showed these to some iPhone people and one of them even commented "I wonder when Apple will catch up". Of course, Moto Connect (text messages and call notifications in Chrome with an add-on, you can even reply to texts), Moto Assist are also great add-ons. You can pick and choose which of these you use, they aren't forced on you.
