Phone app keeps stopping

Click to launch Phone App. App either closes immediately or I get "Phone app keeps stopping error."
Phone app ver 31.0.241960258
Android version 9. Up to date.

Tried multiple times and combinations of:
Forced Stop, Cleared Cached, Cleared Storage.
Removed Updates.

Even tried safe mode with Google Help watching on screen share. Got the error.

Finally did a Factory Reset. Still getting error.

If Google Support was watching, and you subsequently did a Factory Reset and the problem still exists, then they should offer to replace the phone.
You could try reloading the firmware from scratch but I suppose it could be some strange hardware issue causing the problem.

I'm surprised ... no, amazed that they didn't. (Sometimes it seems as if their rules are "Stay on the phone as long as you like, but RMA as many phones as you can.")

Thanks, yes, I have now received an email looking for my IMEI number so they can research what warranty options may be available.
