Phone apps only working on WiFi?

Hi,

I don't know if I did something wrong or didn't do something I was supposed to do.

I just had my VZW Note 5 ported over to TMO about an hour and a half or so ago. I found that any app using the Internet (like Tapatalk, Facebook etc) wasn't working. I saw tool tip type messages on my phone that said there was no network connection. .When I put the phone on WiFi everything started working. When my phone was on VZW these things worked without WiFi.

It's been a hectic day so maybe it's a brain fart on my end and I have to do something in the settings?D

Verify the APN (Access Point Name) settings to see if it is correct for the new operator.

I assume you did this in-store? Did the people there reset your APN to the TMo connection? I'm no expert but it sounds like your internet connection has not been configured for TMo. They can tell you how if you call tech support.

I think you may have hit the nail on the head! There was nothing set. Added what's in hubby's phone and all seems to be working now THANK YOU!

OP, just out of curiosity, were you charged a $20 fee when setting up your service/account with TMO?

What I paid TMO at the store was $56 and change which was for 2 SIMS and the tax on the 2 free phones. I don't know what will be on the bill cuz I don't have it yet.
