phone attaching its self to a magnet holder good or stay away?

Hi folks. quick question. My wife has a magnetic phone holder in her car (scoche) or something. here phone has a metal plate that's attached to the battery cover and the piece in the car is just a magnet that holds the two together. the other day i got into her car and tried to see if my phone will stay attached. I put my galaxy s 7 edge on the magnet and it attached it self. at first I thought "sweet, nothing to buy" but as i got thinking about it, I wonder if i can ruin my wireless charging capability or anything else. any ideas from the smart people on this site?

I have the same car holder and same phone, and while the phone did "stick" by itself, it wasn't nearly as secure as with the thin metal plate and a case, which I'd be using anyway. Haven't yet tried wireless charging, so can't speak to that. Samsung Pay works fine (with the plate at the bottom of the case).
