Phone automatically selecting notification on screen wake in lock screen

Whenever I receive a notification, I prefer to read it in the lock screen before I decide if I want to unlock my phone or not. As of recently, whenever a press the home button or power button to wake the screen, the phone will act as if I have also tapped the notification and prompt me to unlock my phone. This is very annoying because there are often times I just want to read the notification, realize I want to wait a little bit to respond, then get back to it. This makes it difficult because now the notification will be gone, and I will be more likely to forget about it.

I have the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with Android 8.0.0
