Phone Boots After Charge... Sometimes

WTH I thought I'd post this to see if'n others are experiencing the same. After I unplug the charging cable (doesn't matter from wall or micro USB) my phone starts it's boot up dance. But not consistently. A lot of times when I'm at the end of the "Bump" cycle it acts normal and waits for me to press the On/Off Sleep button before booting up.

Anyone else experience this?

I'm not desperately seeking a solution. I can live with it. Just kind of a quirk and a pita to shut off my DInc if I'n not going to use it right away.

Non Rooted w/ a butt load of apps.

:o

You don't have a case on the phone that may be inadvertently pushing the power button, do you? The button only needs to be touched in some cases to start the phone booting up...

Oh, quick note... My DInc didn't do this until I started loading apps. Is it possible something is running in the background? Should I try pulling the battery and soft booting?

Any input is much appreciated!

TIA

Umm, no case. I'll note where my big fat fingers are next time I pull the charging cable. Thanks!

Mine has too just like you word for word almost except I think it did once before I loaded any apps. I dont know why but I have an ipod touch that did the samething til I updated its software last time .

I wasn't overly concerned but aware of it knowing I was not hitting any buttons . ;)

PS: For example plug it in to charge phone is off, unplug it(after charging awhile) may or may not boot up depending on its mood I guess :p . I have plugged it right back in (if it boots turn it back off after total reboot completes) Then wait for light to turn green again if it was red , unplug again and might not come on by itself then and I have to push power button.

I had this happen twice and I figured out why. I noticed that the 2 times it happened I saw a little spark when I pulled the cable. Something was causing it to complete a circuit and boot up the phone. It hasn't happened since I noticed it and starting pulling the cable straight out. It seems that if you pull it out with a sight angle it makes this issue a possibiliy. Watch the port when you disconnect to see if it arcs. Another option to avoid this is to disconnect the cable at the power source before disconnecting it from the phone.

Phew... Glad to hear I'm not the only one & that's not a portent of things to come. I'll watch not to bump the start button and disconnect the cable as you suggest.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!

Suhweeet!

Update = Thanks Guys!

I did the charge with no bump... was careful about hand/Finger placement when unpluging... and carefully pulled micro usb straight out... Wahla! No issues!

Gracias
