Phone calls hanging up

It seems my phone doesn't want me to receive phone calls. Numerous times, but not every time, the phone will ring once or twice and then stop. I am getting voice mails. By the time I get the phone out of my pocket the phone has stopped ringing. Anybody else have this problem?

Are you certain you haven't set those contacts to go directly to voicemail? Open the Contacts app, select one of those contacts, and tap Menu, and see if the Route to Voicemail option has been turned on for them.

Don't even know that option, so I haven't set that setting on anybody. And most of these cakes aren't in my contacts.

Do you have any kind of call blocker feature or app, or a spam filter for calls? Check with your carrier to see if they have some feature activated that you might not be aware of.

I have an app called Robokiller, but it notifies me when it blocks a call and keeps a log of the numbers it blocks. None of the calls I've wanted to answer have been listed. Later in the day I got a phone call and was able to answer it. It isn't consistent so I haven't been able to detect a pattern.

It may be worth temporarily uninstalling Robokiller to see if the problem persists.
