Phone charging slow after plugging into laptop?

A few days ago I went to plug my S4 into my laptop and now when I charge my phone from an outlet as always, its charging much slower than it use to. I read something before about how connecting to laptops will make it charge slower and I was just wondering if there's a way I can make it go back to charging as fast as it use to?

Welcome to the forums. Have you tried different cables? Rebooting the device?

Thank you ^^ and I've restarted, and removed the battery a few times. The wire I used to connect to my laptop use to be my old charger but I've gotten a new one that works better a few months ago. But now its not getting the job done. I tried turning my phone off last night and charging it and that worked just fine, but as soon as I turn it on its back to slow charging.

Strange... I am not sure what to suggest. Maybe contacting Samsung? See what they have to say.
