I have a Droid Razr Maxx HD,

I don't know how this happened, but my phone took a nosedive the other day. At first my phone was saying I had no service, then the power level went crazy, then it shut down and wouldn't go back on. When I plugged the phone into an outlet the green led indicator on it turned on. The screen remained black.'

Fast forward two days, I am fiddling with this seemingly broke phone, however, I plug it in again and let it sit and turns on. However, it is at 3%, which I get. When I look at the charge however it says 'unknown' the phone is blinking red, the battery icon has a lightening bolt, and the battery stats just say unknown. So I have no idea what to do.

Leave it charging for about 12 hours with the phone turned off, that turn it on and see if the battery is taking a charge.

Ill try, but my phone has a tendency to charge for a little and then auto power on. There is also an issue with my charging port where only some cables will charge the phone, as it were my most effective cable only works when i unplug it and plug it in again.

I just got a new Motorola Razr Maxx HD from Verizon in April this year (2015) and in July it quit charging and died while on the charger. Verizon stepped up and replaced the phone with another Razr Maxx HD and within 2 weeks it did the same thing, died while on the wall charger and now it only shows the green light while on the charger and will not turn on. Verizon has refused to replace this brand new, 2 week old phone saying it has been under water???
So now I am stuck with a dead Razr Maxx HD. I had the smaller Razr HD for over 2 years with not problem, except the battery, which is non-replaceable, is old and will not hold a charge for more than 12 hours or so. So I guess my only solution is to have them re-activate the old Razr so I can have a working smart phone.
