Phone Dialer Issue

New to the Droid Bionic. I got it in November and have been very happy with it. However, a problem just started which is very annoying and I am not sure if it started after I installed the 5.5.893 update.

Here is what happens. If I am listening to Pandora or just recently using Verizon Navigator the phone will just start automatically dialing the last phone number called or received in the dialer history. The phone with dial and hang up repeatedly very quickly and will just keep cycling until I hit the power button and take it back to the start up screen. I thought maybe it had something to do with my bluetooth connection but I have had the problem out side of the car.

Has anyone heard of this issue or experienced it as well. I haven't called Verizon yet but based on what I hear from you I may have to due to a defective phone. I am not certain, but I think the problem start after I updated the new OS software.

It could be a lot of things. A rouge app causing an issue, the wrong app frozen (framework issue), using a non motorola charger, corrupted update file (factory reset may fix), etc. You can try Go Contacts and Google Navigator instead to see if it is vzw navigator or the default dialer causing the issues...if it is then you may want to factory reset (make sure you are totally stock with all bloat unfrozen). I would call Verizon though and tell them you want to problem solve the issue and try to avoid them sending you another CLN phone.

This just started happening to me. The one thing I have figured out is that it is not the headset, because it happens with other headsets. Did you ever find out a solution? Verizon was not much help.
