Phone files don't appear on the connected desktop

I try to connect my phone (Gal.S10 w/Android to a Dell Windows10 machine, via USB cable), and it shows NO files on the phone ... none.

I had connected successfully in the past, but clearly something's changed.

The photos & videos I wanted to move still appear on my phone, but not on the desktop DELL when the phone is plugged into it.

Note: The Dell does recognize that the phone is connected, but will not reveal any files there.

Can someone recommend how to clear this up? Many thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! After connecting via USB, swipe down the notification panel and tap the USB notification. Make sure the USB connection is set to File Transfer or MTP.
