I have a Moto G8 Plus that I just did a factory reset on a few days ago. There were two problems I was hoping to solve: 1) frequent crashes, and 2) SD card contents not appearing. So far the crash issue seems resolved but not the SD card issue.
There is no error message or warning, but often when I go to take pictures, play music, etc. from the SD card the contents are not recognized. The Files app can see the card but all the directories are shown as empty and the camera can't save to the card. If I go to the setting menu and unmount/remount the card it works, but after a few hours I often find that it has "forgotten" the SD card contents again.
Before I did the reset I took the card out of the phone and ran chkdsk on it, which found no errors. I might try reformatting the card and copying all the files back but I wanted to see if there were any other suggestions first.
I've tried searching extensively but haven't found anything quite relevant.
