Phone freezes when booting and restarts? Could be bad PDF!

I had issues with the phone freezing on the lock screen when booting up the phone. Then when I pressed the power button the screen went black and unresponsive until it rebooted itself. This happened numerous times until it finally decided to behave.
It drove me crazy. Tried factory resetting without success. Until I deleted a PDF that I recently downloaded and that solved the issue! So if you have this problem think of files and documents that you downloaded before the problem started happening and that might very well solve this very annoying issue!

Good find, and it makes sense. When the phone boots, it starts scanning both internal and external memory for what it considers "media" files. This include not just pdfs, but images, videos, and music files. If a corrupt file interrupts the beginning of that scan, it could cause the phone to freeze until it finally gives up.
