Phone gets really hot when talking on the phone

Hello everyone,

Why would my phone get hot while I'm talking on the phone? I closed all running applications and made sure that there was nothing else running. It is not plugged in while I am talking.

My wifes did the same thing. Fortunately it was still under warranty and we took it back and they replaced it.

IF your on a long call, say 30 minutes, thats a lot of cpu usage as well as a constant connection with the 1xrtt radio. Sending and receivinig voice info.
I rarely talk over 15 minutes but i think most phones i have ever owned have gotten a little warm on long calls.
