Phone got wet, now stuck on red eye

Ran the phone through the wash cycle =(
Waited a few days for it to dry.

It boots but it gets stuck on the red eye screen. I have tried booting into system recovery and doing a factory reset, it still hangs on the red eye.

I know very little about these phones, could someone please lend some expertise?

Any help/advice appreciated greatly!

Phone is probably damaged. Try putting your phone with battery off and memory card out in a bowl of rice for 24 hours. Might still be moisture in the phone.

You forgot to put it in the dryer after the washer... no don't do that. I heard rice works well to clean up water as stated. Not sure if that would fix your issue as you have power and it seams like the system is damaged. Try the rice for a few days. If that don't work try and sbf the phone as when we are stuck at that point an sbf fixes it. If all fails its time for a Verizon store trip. Good luck.

If you had known about the rice formula when that had happen .... the phone probably would have been fix by know. I'm not sure if It's too late for that - but you could give it a try. My pre had gotten wet the same way doing laundry, but luckily I was able to get it in a bag of rice in no time.
