Hi folks. I know that if you fill the internal memory alot the phone will eventually slowdown. I currently have 55% storage filled up on my edge plus and i would like to know if that's too much.. lack of memory card hurts :b

Thanks.

The slowdown can be from different things. Errors in cache files that need to be cleared, a restart might help, a reset may be needed. I have had devices that were 80% filled and had no noticable slowdowns.

You might also try an app like Power Clean. It has a junk clean option that I use about once a week to keep things running smoothly.

Power Clean and Clean Master are both great apps to use that "wipe" unnecessary junk from your device. Some claim they use a good bit of device resources such as RAM and battery but I've never experienced any adverse effects. You can also try shutting off your device and then pressing and holding the volume down, home button, and power buttons all at the same time until it boots back up. You'll see a weird little drunk (lol not really drunk but funny) android guy and a message that says downloading or download failure (don't panic). You will then see a list of commands that you can select by scrolling with volume up or down buttons. Highlight the wipe cache partition and hit power button, this will free up some additional space and helps prevent screwy behavior. After cache wipe (only takes a few seconds), use the volume button to scroll to and highlight restart device and press power button again. Your device will restart as normal. I try to do this about once a week or so. Also, while device is on and running, make sure your screen is "awake" and you can press and hold volume down and power button until phone shuts down, this is Samsung's equivalent of removing the battery. It gives the device a nice soft reset and can solve a bunch of minor annoyances, especially if you've nearly filled your storage. Best of luck to you!
