Are you using a 3rd party launcher from the Market?

Also I understand you don't have a sdcard but all devices even ones without an actual removable sdcard have a secondary storage option aside from the main storage that the Android OS is located on which doesn't leave a lot of space to play with. So in a way you do have a sdcard its just not removable and with many 3rd party launchers you can move an app to the sdcard or secondary memory and when this is done sometimes it really goofs things up.

Otherwise I'm kind of at a loss as why this is happening to you. If possible describe more of what happened leading up to this going on so we can help trouble shoot it more.

Have you been plugging the phone into your computer (USB) much lately? I had some weird stuff happen to all my apps that were loaded to the (internal) SDcard space when I disconnected the phone un-elegantly one time.

What apps are changing? Some apps store information on a sdcard and without having one might be your issue.

I am having the same issue. I also have a sd card in mine as well. Any fixes?

I've noticed something that may be the same (I've disabled tags on my homescreen, so it may very well say a funky name but I can't confirm) but sometimes when I restart apps on the internal D3 memory don't display in the app drawer, and on the homescreen they have a blank icon. I get them back after a reboot though, have you noticed them coming back right away after a reboot?

Definitely having the same problem on my Epic 4g.... The only "solution" that I have found so far is that if you go back to the market and install the app (or wherever you installed it from) then you get a new icon and don't lose any information. Problem I see with this, is that you STILL have the old icon that doesn't work. It says the app isn't installed. Bigger problem, if you delete the old icon, then it deletes the new icon ALONG with any information saved in the app. What the heck?

I have the same problem but only with certain apps like i love the kick the boss 2 game and i play it all day 1 day but if my phone gets shut off like every day for school it deletes it most other apps i don't think ive found any others that do it:-\
