Force reboot.
Press & hold power and volume down.

Mine froze twice this morning while opening an excel spreadsheet for editing.

I've only had an issue once... On lock screen when taking s-notes with s-pen - then just stop and let the phone go dark; then wake up the phone and try to tap the "save" at the top (from the lock screen showing the written note)... Froze up... May not be locked up, might be an app issue...? (Was able to unlock phone but note was then lost.)

There were many Bixby related updates available. I wonder if that caused problems with some other apps.

Same here. Surprised by the lack of issues or lag from the phone. There are some bad apps in the Android world compared to their iOS version. This is the only part I'm still having issues with.

yeah. that part sucks, but you learn your way and which are the ones to avoid. I've only been zapped once by lock screen ads that required a factory reset to remove and that's in ten years of Android use. no other issues that I am aware of. but I also don't play with my security.

yep I had 5 different updates as well today
