Phone keeps popping up to restart

I keep getting these two popups (sorry for the tinypic URL, imgur was down again)





They popup all the time.
I could be texting, I could be playing a game, doesn't matter.
If I press the home button while that second popup is up, (the one that says to restart your phone press up) it automatically takes a screenshot whether I like it or not.
Also pressing up on the volume key and pressing the power button does nothing but change the volume. That message is irrelevant.

No idea why this is happening, but it used to happen occasionally and now happens regularly whenever I use my phone.
Already tried reformatting the phone. It seems to think I'm holding the power button down, except that second popup where it says to restart your phone press up on the volume/etc never pops up if I hold the power button. Not really sure whats going on.

I had this problem on my old m8. It turned out to be the power button going bad. Eventually the power button stopped working rendering the phone useless. Got the phone replaced under warranty.

Damn. I don't have a warranty on mine.
Welp, maybe it's time I sell it and look into a new phone. Wasn't planning on replacing my phone anytime soon. :/

I have the same problem except that it arises mostly while watching a video on YouTube. Did you get a solution of this problem? I desperately need a solution to this problem. Please help!
