Phone keeps shutting down and it says that Google apps process has stopped, how can I fix this?

Phone keeps shutting down and it says that google apps process has stopped

I saw a process for fixing it by going to settings, but I can't even get that far on the phone. When it turns on I get the google apps message and I cannot get to anything past that.
