Phone locks up after looking at a video

Hi folks. I was looking on you tube and I couldn't go back to the home screen. I'm using a different Launcher would that make a difference?

Your post caught my eye because of the words "locks up.". My XL locked up twice today, the first time it has ever happened. Once I was viewing an email and another while on Chrome.

In both cases the screen turned completely white and nothing in the screen or the physical buttons would work. The first time, I just sat the phone down and after about 5 minutes the screen went black and it restarted. The second time I just happened to receive a phone call, which unlocked it. I haven't made any changes recently, so I hope this isn't some kind of hardware issue.

I strongly doubt that but something is definitely going on.
