Phone not Charging - Blinking Amber/Green

Today for the first time when I plugged my phone it first to my PC to charge, It was blinking amber/green. I know that it means it is overheating or overheated but my phone doesn't feel warm nor does the battery. I plugged it into the wallcharger and used 2 different cables with the same issue.

Even tried using a different battery just to see if the phone would charge with a different battery and to no avail. Right now I got the phone to charge by plugging the phone into the wall charger and then popping the battery back into the phone.

Is there anything that could fix this problem? I wasn't running any apps or anything aside from general texting. Is it possible that my TPU case is holding in heat?

Happened to me one time not long after I got the phone. 'Cept mine was very warm. I reseated the battery and reseated the SIM and put everything back together and it has not happened again since (over a month now). I attributed it to having a bad contact on either the SIM or the battery.

I'm sure the blinking red/green indicator is a notification of any error condition, not just overheating.

Its now working. What I did was take the battery out, plug the phone into the wall charger, and then put the battery back in with the back panel off. Let that charge for half an hour like that and turned it on and it works fine. Odd thing was the battery said Overheat but the temp actually said -52.5c.

Mine is doing this same thing. I'm curious.. when you put your battery in to charge... did the Orange LED turn on? Cuz mine will not.

Sorry for not getting back to you right away on this, I saw your G+ post last night but I was out where there was little to no signal so I couldn't actually get back to you. I honestly don't remember very clearly but if I can remember correctly mine only blinked Amber/Green when I plugged my phone in and it wouldn't charge. Normally when charging it would be solid Amber until its fully charged then it would show green.

Now mine when charging on or off blinked between amber and green until I basically took the battery out, let it sit for about 15-20 minutes and then tried again. Also, if you can remove any cases from the phone and take off the back panel so that the battery can dissipate heat better for the short time. I also left my case/back panel off while charging it back up to 100% and then it was fine.

Unfortunately I do not have the TB anymore, I have the Bionic so I won't be in the TB forums as much as I was before but feel free to PM me.

Today I noticed my tbolt with extended battery was quite hot although screen was off and phone in my hoster for about 3 hours. When put in my hoster it was at 100% fresh off of charger. When turned on after that time it was down to 40% (it would normally be around 85% after that length of time) Its never done anything likebthat before. I did notice that my touchdown app had been unable to sync and was apparently trying to the entire time. I have no idea if that one app could draw that much power.

Unfortunately I didn't think to check battery usage before I shut off the phone. It was pretty hot and I just wanted to shut down...fast.

As soon as I turned it on a half hour later it seemed normal and touchdown immediately synced. No idead if that was the cause nor why it happened.

Some apps are better at handling a "not able to sync" issue than others. In any case, this is one common problem contributing to running down a battery (unable to sync).

I'm surprised the tbolt doesn't have some software protection against that level of draw.
