Phone not keeping connection to home WiFi and no other device has this problem

[Android Central Question]

Why is my phone disconnecting from my home WiFi and switching to mobile data. The last two months my phone has almost exceeded my data package. Never have I come close in the past two years. I started noticing my phone loosing connection to my home WiFi. Although my tv and other devices don't. I told a neighbor, he also has this problem. Has a different cell phone carrier, an apple phone vs an android,like myself and a different internet provider. But has been having similar issues. Even when I turn mobile data off when I'm home, phone still loses connection and I have to turn WiFi off and on again on my phone to get reconnected. Happens like every 10-30 min most of the time. I did not get kicked off my mother's WiFi for the three days I was there and hers is crappy. What is happening?
