phone not locking properly on my S8 Plus

so i setup both my iris and finger scan however i noticed now whenever i go into my phone to swipe the swipe is always unlocked for some reason if i click to lock it then it will prompt me with either finger scan or iris. So technically my phone is not secure at this moment. I need so that way it will prompt me or at least ask me for my 4 pin password.

Any suggestion on what happen? what am i missing?

Did you set up Smart Lock?
If it sees you at a location (home, work) that you have given the OK for, it will remain unlocked.

ya i think i figured it out lol my watch was the reason I simply remove that watch from the trusted device so i'm good.

Ah yes. Wearables keep it from locking as it knows you are you.
