Phone reboots randomly

I have noticed that my phone reboots randomly. It first started about two weeks ago, it reboots out of the blue, I'm not even holding it. Last time was last night, the phone was sitting on the dashboard of my car and it just rebooted. I haven't dropped, dunked in water, rooted. I did update to latest version, did a factory reset/restore.

What is the temp of the device? Was it charging when this happened? What if you did a factory reset and didn't install any third party apps?

My wife has a Verizon S6 Edge, and I just dropped it off at the UPS Store for an RMA for the same rebooting issue. I did everything I could think of: removed it from the case, cleaned the volume and power buttons, factory reset, removed apps, and installed all updates. It started rebooting sometime last week. Every once in a while it would go awhile without rebooting, like a day, and then start again.

Fortunately it is still under warranty, so we should be good there. I'm curious to see what will happen.

It was cool, not charging and no I didn't install only stock apps and nothing else... I'm not going to do that to test for issues that I shouldn't.

I wouldn't do a FDR either, people pull that out way too often as a solution.

Nope. It didn't reboot since I posted but that's been the pattern... A few days without reboot, a few rebooting, etc
