Phone reboots when taking snaps using camera (Flash on)

Hi,

I am on Jellytime ROM and been having problems with the Flash of the camera. When I take a picture using camera and flash ON, the phone reboots itself. This does not happen when the flash is OFF. Have been trying to figure out what could be the problem but haven't reached any conclusion yet. Any thoughts?

This could be a battery issue. I've seen this complaint on different devices and ROMs. Since the flash requires a burst of energy, if your battery is older, it could be an indication that it's failing. Also could just be a ROM issue. Have you checked forums for your specific device & ROM?

I have read at few places that the earlier DHD models have these issues by default. They become 'faulty' which causes the reboot issue. Since my Warantee is no longer valid too, it seems too late for an exchange!

I have noticed that this problem is not consistent. Sometimes it takes pictures with flash ON without any reboot, and other times it reboots.
