Phone Ringer keeps turning off!

Over the last couple of weeks, my Note 3 has developed a very annoying trait. About 75% of the time, the phone ringer is muted. It still vibrates, but no ringer. Each time I see this, I will immediately turn the volume back up. But then later in the day when the phone rings again, it's once again muted. I know for a fact I'm not accidentally turning it off, since, frankly, I don't touch the phone that much during the day.

I do use Blocking Mode from 9 PM to 9 AM, but this is always after 9 AM. It happened a moment ago at about 12:25 PM PST.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Are you sure? I had the same issue and also thought I never touched the phone... it turns out my PTU Case was way too tight and kept pressing the volume rocker on its own and when sliding into my pockets. I also noticed that more often than not, when trying to turn the screen off, I keep pressing the volume rocker when holding the phone

I have this problem on an lg feature phone. But it also has problems with freezing up and I have to shut it off and then back on to get it to work. :/ The one nice thing about it is at least 2 weeks standby time on the battery.

I don't know what causes it.

Hopefully I'll close that line soon.

I have this issue on mine with my Spigen Neo Hybrid case.... When I lay it sideways on the treadmill at the gym it automatically lowers my volume. As soon as I put it bk up it lowers itself again... it's pretty annoying that the buttons are so sensitive with the case one... I don't have any issues with my other case... just my $0.02

Eureka. Trying to find out the solution here for me. Just now clicked and fixed it as done to resolve most of the computer problems. Just restarted the phone and YESSSSSSSS. Try it Good Luck

This keeps happening to me, on my Droid Razr M gets annoying.

I have the same problem with my Note 3, it keep turning off the ringtone I have no blocking and I removed some program I thought they may be the problem, but no it keep turning off the sound for the ring tone

and I do not use any cover for the phone and I am pretty-sure I do not accidentally turn it off

does any one please have a solution

I have the Note 5 by Samsung and mostly I love the phone. It is protected by an otter box case. I can turn the ringer all the way up on an annoying tone, I then call my number. the first time it rings then after that all I get is buzz occasionally nothing happens, but that is rear. The phone is laying flat on my desk without being touched. I will try resetting the phone as suggested and see what happens. :-*

And NO it did not work!
