Phone screen does not light up after the call

[Android Central Question]

Since my last upgrade, when I pull the phone away from my face I have to hit the right button to show the screen. Before it would light up and I could hang up. I also noticed the if I clear the notifications the numbers on the app buttons go away. What the hell is going on man!

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? When you say the "right button," are you talking about the Power button?
