Hey guys just wondering if anybody else is having this problem recently my phone seems to just black out and shut off from the slightest bump from the back from like an inch hight anybody else having this problem?

The amazing galaxy s3 :D

Could it be the battery losing connection?

Note2 or Note10, that is the question

I would NOT scrape the GOLD plating off of the battery contacts.
Maybe a pencil eraser to clean them, then wipe then with a cloth. Or just wipe them with a cloth.
It none of that helps, get a replacement ordered.

Are you using an aftermarket battery? Some aftermarket batteries have a thing spacer strip along the top edge of the battery. Sometimes this strip can come off making the battery fit just loose enough to lose contact with slight jarring.

I've done it on every phone i've had thats had a removable battery. I do it with my sim cards too. It wont hurt anything

My wife started having this problem with her HTC Vivid phone which is only about 3-4 months old. I thought of the battery, but the battery seems to be pretty snugly secured...

Mines does the same thing and then android updates takes a whole minute to reboot.

any solutions yet?

Sounds like you might have to do a factory reset. I don't think cleaning oxide from the copper contacts will help that
