It's a lollipop thing. Nothing to worry about.

I've noticed that previously opened apps are still present after a reboot. Seems like Lollipop now saves that data and re-applies after reboot.

It shouldn't be doing it every single time you start the phone. Have you installed any app that might be wiping your system cache, like a system cleaner or something along that line?

No not that I know of . AND yes this happens everytime I restart my phone or turn it off and then on.

I want to say it does it every time I've rebooted my phone, but I only do it every couple weeks. So that may be why it always happens to me.

Try wiping the system cache to remove any hiccups.

I would do as the above poster suggested, wipe cache. It looks like there could have been a glitch during the upgrade process.

wiping cache did not do anything for mine. I have an M8 and it does the same thing at startup. I can live with it. It only does it for about 5 seconds or so...

I installed the 5.1 update . No change . Mine is about a few seconds also. I'm just wondering if it's normal .
