Phone sucks after update

After the 4.3 update my phone was fine at first. Now it isn't as responsive as this lighting fast phone once was. Biggest problem is that my battery now seems to be dying. Changing takes forever. Sometimes I charge it for 8 or 9 hours only to wake up to 70% in the morning. Once the battery goes below 20%, lookout! It's about to die. Maybe my battery is messing up but it was fine before update. Anyone else have similar issues?

Thanks for the suggestion. I just gave it a try. Will report back after 24 hours and let you know if it works. Been wanting to do factory reset but my wifi is cut off right now and I would like to have wifi to re-download all my apps. Hopefully this helps. Thanks again.

Update. My phone seemed better after the cache wipe bit once battery got low last night it would barley charge. I went to bed with 5% and 7 hours later I woke up to 48% and that started falling fast. Didn't even use it work and after it being off charge for an hour and a half it dropped to 28%. Have had to one charge almost all day and got it back up to 50%. A little bit ago I did take battery out and let phone just sit for half hour. It's charging better now and seems to be holding a charge a little bedbug that might just be in my head. I think 11 months of using my phone almost every moment I'm awake has cooked the battery. I do a lot of gaming and battery intensive stuff. Thanks for taking the time to reply, buddy.

Hmm, it's certainly possible the battery is starting to fail. Can you try a new battery?

It's generally not advisable to let a Li battery drop really low too often, because that can potentially lead to degradation of the battery's ability to hold a charge--something to keep in mind if and when you get a new battery!

I had a problem similar with my note II. I ended up buy a new charger. I haven't had any problems since. Matter of fact it seems to charge faster than ever. I found one out at Walmart made by Griffin I do believe for $20. I found it in the tablet accessories. Just make sure that you find one that has the ability to create the same amount of amps as the original charger.
