Phone & Text Intermittently Not Working

Twice recently my phone was unable to receive calls or texts. Sometimes it works, sometimes, it doesn't. Most recently was while I was driving from SC to south Georgia, where I usually do not have a problem. The only way I know it isn't working is to try to call or text and have no luck, and the only solution I've found is to restart the phone. But if my wife or kids need to get in contact with me, it could be very problematic. It may have something to do with the recent upgrade to Oreo. Not sure.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem? My carrier is T-Mobile and my phone is an international S7 purchased online, for whatever that's worth.

Install LTE Discovery. When you get to where you know you've had problems, pull over to the side, send yourself a text to make sure that you're still in a bad area, run the app and see what signal strengths you're getting. I'd guess that you're just hitting dead spots.
