Phone thinks audio is plugged in

Help! As of a few minutes ago, my lgg3 started showing the symbol in the notification bar that my ear buds are plugged in. They aren't. I restarted,but it's still there. I haven't even had them plugged in this morning.
When I pull the notification bar down, nothing is there,its just sitting on the top.
Any thoughts? Could the be something inside the port? It is cracked (like I've hard others are), but has been for ages.

I would get a can of compressed air and see if there is something stuck in the port. Otherwise maybe try plugging and unplugging a pair of headphones and see if that does anything.

Thanks, I tried everything so far; compressed air & q+tip... 24 hours later and it's the same. I can't use the phone part of my phone without my ear buds now... A real bummer. I'll be heading to Sprint this weekend I guess.

It's a Aux bug!!! I have talked to a lot Of peps that day they have same issue so I contacted LG.com they wanted me to send mine in for 5 days.....Verizon was just going to switch me out........
I decided to just get a Samsung!
