My samsung galaxy 3 has a full charged battery and the keeps shutting down . Do I need a new battery?

Welcome to the forums.
Try taking the battery out, placing on a flat surface, and try to spin it. If it does, it's bulged, probably disconnecting itself, and needs to be replaced.
