Phone waking up at night?

I have noticed a bit of change in battery and upon checking the battery stats my phone is waking up throughout the night. I do not have any new apps on my phone (I have downloaded many apps over the last few days but uninstalled them shortly afterward, before the drain.) I am noticing a full charge is now only lasting me 7-9 hours. Anyway to figure this out without factory reset?

Try Gsam battery monitor. It'll give you a complete run down of whats running and what is using X amount of battery.

You aren't rooted. Are you? Check to see if you have any apps waking up the phone when messages are received. Weather refresh rate. Are you a Facebook user? Twitter? Grasping at straws here...

No root, I looked through all of my settings. No auto syncs or refresh times set, only facebook has push notifications and no notifications were pushed through the night. I unistalled my most recent app before the drain and I will see I'd it has fixed anything, if not i will try to use the app to monitor battery.

That's really weird. I do not want to recommend the Verizon tech "fixall" the dreaded factory reset. Mainly because I have no idea what it would fix.

You could also try the application system panel which will what applications you have that are active and a history of there CPU activity. You may have to purchase the paid version to get the history but try the free/lite version first.

Here's a screen shot showing to CPU history

I checked and maps was at 11% of battery and I haven't used it. I've cleared data and might disable if it continues

The problem is maps. Cleared cache and data to no avail. Any ideas how to fix it? Disabling maps seems like it would carry further consequence even though I dont use it as a stand alone app.

To be honest I have disabled maps unless I need to use the GPS and have noticed zero negative effects. Try it for a day or 2 and if you notice something wrong you can easily enable it again.

This is caused by the new update to maps, I had the same problem.

Go to apps, select maps and uninstall updates. Then go into maps and uncheck all location settings. Also uncheck the automatic update feature in maps if you have it enabled.

This should fix your issue... It did for me. Try it and see if it works.
