Phone will not turn on

I've been having issues where if my phone is turned off it will not turn on unless I have it plugged into a power chord. all I see is a battery icon. Even trying to get out into safe mode will not work and once plugged in the only way it will start is to go to safe mode then reboot.

I've run several roms including going back to stock and then applying the most recent com roms and I still get the same issue. Anyone else seen this issue?

Can you boot into recovery? If so I would try a compete data wipe and reflash the ComRom. If that doesn't work sounds like a hardware issue might be the problem.

I know this sounds odd, but check your USB port on the top of the phone for any corrosion. There was a thread on here not that long ago where someone was only getting the battery icon and it turned out that the USB was mildly corroded and was messing up the entire phone as a result.
